Below are the times for the Army Recruit Course (ARC) the times for Part Time Recruit Training Course (PRTC) are here.
TIME ARC | EVENT | SYNOPSIS |
8:00 AM | Visitor’s car park opens | Visitors for the morning parade are advised to arrive no earlier than 8:00AM |
8:20 – 9:00 AM | Transport to the parade ground | Buses leave from the car park, a tour guide is provided for each bus, and visitors are given a tour of the barracks. |
9:00 AM | Guests arrive at parade ground | Visitors will be dropped off at the parade ground. Escorts and guides will be located around the parade ground to assist visitors. |
9:15 AM | Guests seated for parade | Seating is not reserved; guests are not to sit in the centre seating area, as this area is set aside for staff and official guests. |
9:30 AM | Parade commences | The parade will generally take 45 to 60 minutes. |
10:20 AM | Parade ends | Details regarding the March Out Function timings will be confirmed at the conclusion of the parade. |
10:30 AM | Transport to March Out Function | Buses will arrive to begin transporting visitors with a ticket to the Edmondson VC Club. Soldiers will meet their families at the function shortly after. |
11:45 AM | Speeches and cutting of the March Out cake | The Platoon Commander/s will make a speech and then cut the March Out cake. This will be followed by a buffet lunch. |
1:00 – 1:30 PM | Guests transported to visitor’s car park | Soldiers return to their lines to change into neat civilian attire. All guests are required to depart the Edmondson VC Club by 1:30 pm. |
2:00 – 2:15 PM | Recruits transported to Wagga Wagga Train Station | Soldiers will be transported to the Wagga Wagga Train Station by bus only to commence local leave. |
9:00 PM | Recruits transported back to barracks | All soldiers are to be at the Wagga Wagga Train Station at 9:00 pm to be transported back to Kapooka. Lateness will not be tolerated and administrative or disciplinary action may be taken against the soldier. |
